Hi again everyone and Diane!

Do any of you work with air dry clay? Either the kind from the store or homemade? I love using it. Each kind has different qualities and result in different textures. Some are more sturdy and others are fragile. I found out it all depends on how you make it and of course the ingredients.

I've listed 2 websites that a lady I communicate with has. She is an artist, teacher plus more. She works in cold porcelain paste clay and her work is gorgeous. If you go to the yahoo air dry clay group site, you will find pictures of her beautiful flowers and many other artists. i believe you will like the group. The lady's name is Sangeeta Shah. You can tell her I sent you. There are also clay recipes listed in the files. Let me know what you think.

Hello Mary - lovely to see you back - hope all is well :-)

Yes I did add the download pdf of the results in the cold porcelain group. I've since been testing the hardness and breaking points of the two recipes and the glue based one is by far the toughest, best feel and look.

Thanks Mary for adding your kind invitation to everyone. Perhaps you might consider running the Air Dry Clay Group here on Art Hobby Craft and bring your yahoo members over so that you can all benefit from the added features here that you don't get with yahoo groups. You would also benefit from the art marketing efforts we do on behalf of all members at AHC.

I can soon set you up as group administrator. Do message me.

I'm pleased its working well and that your members have open invitation here and that some are indeed members. Sadly I personally just don't have enough spare time to join another club, I'd love to see more posts here on air dry clay as I've been using Efa Plast recently which is another great air drying clay. perhaps your members might pop over and keep us updated on your clubs projects.

All the best

I haven't used any of the air dry clays you mention however Efa Plast is very soft. The white is my favorite as it is extremely soft and rolls or pinches very thin. The dried product is light and feels just like paper. Ron, a member here, put me on to the light air dry clays, Efa Plast is the nearest/nicest I could find here. I'd certainly recommend it.
