This is one of my major pieces that I painted for a display at a World Orchid Conference
held in Scotland. It is painted on a queen sized cotton/polyester sheet and backed with a matching sheet. The pillow cases I also made from the same sheeting, to match.
I have been painting fabrics since 1962 and that seems like forever ago. Well lets face it, it is an age ago !!!! Mind you I still feel 48 and I am sticking to that !!
Ideas, ceations and dreams galore still going on in my head.
There is so many useful things to create from Fabric Painting and I look forward to sharing it with you all.

Thank you Di.
Yes, I have had a registered Trade Mark since 1984.
Also registered with my art signature.
Not sure what made me do it at the time as Trade Marks were not talked about or considered significant in those days. My word how things have changed!
I am always encouraging people to sign off their original works, regardless, as I think it is very important. Not necessarily going to the expense of the cost of registering but a signature covers their property.

Yes, you were indeed ahead of the times :>) It can become a little expensive to trademark everything these days. It is as you say important to cover copyrights - it's brilliant to see your signature actually sewn in, very unique :>) Lovely vibrant work. Di :>)

I like the bed spread too and the arrangement on the pillow end of the bed finishes it off nicely. It looks so good it looks printed! Well done.

Do you lay out the blank cover on one huge backing board or do you stretch a section at a time and paint on that?

Edward, I create the design first on Greaseproof paper ( Ex butchery paper by the rheam !!) cellotaped for length and width, all over the dining room table. Meals on knees for weeks !!!
Using cream Queen sized polly/cotton sheets - for this exercise - of the same dye batch. Place the design under one of the sheets, and having centered it, trace it on. Again just laying it over the table I begin to paint. The rest of the world is forgotten as it all begins to take a life.
As you would know to print it would mean the design would have to happen first and that is another story !!

Basically Folks for copyright just sign every piece off. I insist on every one of my students signing their pieces at the finish of the product. This gives you limited protection. To give you total coverage then yes a Registered Trade Mark is the way to go. It is a one off cost and covers you for life. I am hoping to pass mine on to family so they can continue the path that I have formed and for them to follow and discover.
© KatyBuck has served me well since 1984.
Something for you to think about for those who are not aware of how important it is to protect your ORIGINAL pieces.
