Hello!

I'm fairly new to working with air-dry clay and was wondering if anyone knows of a good way to transfer an ink-jet printed image onto air-dry clay. I've researched online and found tons of ways to get great ink-jet image transfers onto clay that you bake, but haven't found a single way that works on air-dry clay. Has anyone had experience in this? Thanks in advance!

Funnily enough the kids and I were doing some art projects with emulsion printing this evening.

However, something similar & one to try on air dry clay

If you wanted color on the piece then try this process as below with emulsion paint printing. OR alternatively

- is to apply slightly diluted PVA glue onto the inkjet picture, then press it face on, to the air dry clay, you may have to press say with the back of a spoon (like burnishing) and allow to dry - this is the tricky bit (as emulsion printing is) as it can be too wet to transfer or too dry to get the paper off !!

After a little practice, it should work to leave the inkjet image on the air dry clay. You may have to seal the image with some varnish depending upon what your item is and how it will be used.

Hope this works and do let us know how you get on :-)
