Hi All, if you are like me and other crafters I know then there will be many in progress projects and unfinished dolls in your craft boxes. I though it would be good to share these and may be overcome crafters block. Here are a few of mine I have on the go.

This is a needle felt kelpie - it has no frame and a lot of felting. From tail to nose it is about 90 cm and stands about 50 cm. I am having issues on how to make it stand - I think I may edn up just pushing wire through the body.

This is splendid indeed - with the weight being higher up I can see the balance/standing issue - very impressive Jo-Anne :-)

This is a plain white hand stitched felt dragon with needle felt colour. Again this is a lot of felting - stabbing with a barbed felting needle many times so the fleece becomes matted and solid. I do not have much to do on this one so it should be finished quite soon.

I love your creatures and what a fabulous setting you have to show them off in the 'wild' - How long does it take you to make each felt creature, on average lol :-) Great colours. Di

This beautiful boy is Caio, my son. It is the head of the bear that I was doing in cold porcelain.

At the moment, I have one doll project still on the drawing board and another off the drawing board but still in 2D form.

I need help on both of them.

For the first, I need to find someone who can print (or spray) an image about 30cm x 22cm onto a material that can then be sewn e.g. a tough cotton. I've designed a simple doll shape formed from two pieces of this material sewn together with a stuffing inside. It is probably a simply doll to put together for many reading this but for me, I'm just getting into stitches from the starting point of sewing on a button.

The second doll is a ragdoll made of ... rags, bottle tops, string and again, some printed cotton material for face/ hands/feet sections. The doll, in its drawn and rendered form, is presently appearing in a school edition book for early readers. I know therefore what it looks like but the jump to getting it made up as a sample is presently a big one.

Any thoughts, help very welcome.

I'd like to get both finished this year.

All best,

<*))))))))><<br />
