You can download my cold porcelain recipes results below:-

My hats off to you fabulous cold porcelain experts, I didn't find the process easy, I think because I work with paper clay, and normal clay, which have a denser feel when modeling.

Would love your feedback. thanks Di

Hi guys, has anyone had a look at the results yet? Any hints or tips you could give me for when i do another batch, particularly how you color your CP? Do you use acrylics and how do food colorings blend? Thanks Di

Yes Di. I have looked at the results of the CP paste.
I have shifted from pan cooking to microwave.
I must say that there are different results with PVA glues.
There are the Building, School, Wood and other types that I find cook up differently.
Cheers
Katy

Hello Di,
I use food coloring (Fleibor) and the oil paint to tint the mass of cold porcelain.

Hi WD (what do you prefer to be called?) Thanks re Fleibor tip. I'm planning some cold porcelain making for spring / easter gifts for family so will look out for the Fleibor brand, although I assume all food colorings will do the trick??

cheers Di :-)

Hi all.
I have been using Windsor and Newton Artisan Water Mixable Oil colour for most of my coloring of CP.
The Oil based paint gives a stronger colour result. I find Acrylics do not have such density.
I have not used food colouring but as they are a colouring the results would be interesting. Experimenting is the fun part!
Cheers
Katy

Hi Katy, Great to see you back - How was your trip?

Hmm... I think I'll have to try both the water mixable oils and the food coloring options, give them a little test :-) Thanks for the tip
hugs
Di
