I wonder if anyone here is or has made any tool storage items,
such as a pliers rack; or maybe some sorting plates using paperclay ?

I had the mad idea - has anyone made it a reality yet ??
if so please fill me in and show us some pix please.

Thanks

~RE

What an interesting idea - I think I would have thought of using wood for storage solutions, although I have made papier mache storage units in the past. Are you going to turn your idea into reality ?? Could be fun. Di

Di Dear
tell and show us the papier mache storage units please.

I need help, immediately please

..and yes I am planning on making them; and of course making
a tutorial with pix of what I did. I'm looking for any of my paperclay today.
so much packed up in three storage places. I need help, getting unpacked.

Oh Dear me - I can't help you with the unpacking!!

The papier mache storage didn't make it back to UK with us I'm afraid (a lot of stuff didn't get here sadly) - anyway as you probably know you construct your base shape or item in either plywood or cardboard, depending upon how robust/ light you need the item. Then using PVA glue and strips of paper, you simply add criss cross layers to the item until it is sturdy. Paint & decorate in choice of medium and color.

A draft pdf attached here - this is a garden ornament construction with a paper mache base, it will be covered with plaster.

Look forward to seeing your finished item and your tutorial.

garden ornament plaster

Paper mache inner, weighted with sand and covered with ironized plaster (which was a bit messy - but great fun)... it's now sat in the garden waiting to get weathered into some mature looking masterpiece (te he)!!

Nice to see you ~RE
