Overview

We want you to enjoy your membership here at Art Hobby Crafts and to that end, encourage you to contribute as much as your time schedule allows, whether you are here to learn a new craft, socialize with other crafters and artist, or share your talents and knowledge or even teach other members a new technique etc. We also encourage you to take advantage of the growing potential for art and crafts marketing for your work, if you are actively selling your work.

Obviously, we have to get the legal bits in writing and trust that you will read and take note of what is required of you personally and how you can enjoy a safer online experience.

All written content and images added, shown or displayed on the site is the copyright of the respective authors or producers unless otherwise stated. Under NO circumstances do members have the right to claim others work as their own even if made into a derivative work. Images and written content MUST NOT be downloaded or otherwise used from this site without the expressed permission of the copyright owner. Copyright holders and permission recipients should ensure they provide & receive written confirmation of the terms of usage granted.

By joining and remaining a member of art hobby crafts, you confirm your agreement to abide by the legal aspects of copyright laws and agree to be solely liable for an infringement of any copyright that you make knowingly or unknowingly and confirm that Art Hobby Crafts and Diane Stafford, are not liable for any such infringements.

Background - Why Diane Stafford started Art Hobby Crafts

"I have had a passion for art and crafts since forever, having started drawing in soft pencil at a very early age, that being my preferred medium for many years. I have 'dabbled' with a lot of art mediums and crafts, thoroughly enjoying being creative, no matter what the medium. It is a life long journey of exploration into my creative nature

The path of least pleasure was taken, as one does 'the sensible thing on parents advice', into the world of work and 9-5. Art and crafts became my hobby, with a break of some considerable time due to eventually working for myself running two demanding businesses, getting married and having 3 kids (two of those in one 'sitting').... and the vagaries of living life. I returned to art several years ago now, did my Art Foundation in Chester, loved every single minute of it, never worked so hard in my life, and couldn't get enough of it. I did everything, worked in every genre and medium, although specializing in ceramics, life drawing would, if I had to choose an absolute favorite, be it. A move abroad for a few years gave me free time that helped me gain confidence in my art & crafts work as I sold very well. I now have a few collector customers and have sold to the 'moderately famous' (TV Soaps). Back to UK, back to no spare time and back to 'working' for the sensible 'mouths to feed' bread and butter. Although my business history / experience and creative inspiration are at least now often combined in my current work role. 2008 brought the decision to devote more time to living my passion, so this year sees me planning and engineering my shift to doing more of what I love doing. Art Hobby Crafts is very much a part of my passion for creative inspirations as being a part of an inspiring community can, on the selfish side, inspire me to be more creative and support and hopefully inspire and encourage others, you, to share your passion for art & crafts which will allow you to feel more fulfilled by achieving your personal creative goals."
