Oh my goodness - 52 at 1cm! that's an achievement and all perfectly formed. Its lovely. Perhaps Jerzy should be filming how to make these origami birds, we could then have a competition! (I didn't say that)! :-)

Hi everyone!

Hi all...!!!

Sorry I've been missing..I tried to finish my female figurine, but I found it hard to make the hands, it's about 1 centimeters length with finger details, tried to make it using Epo Putty but when I sanded it, the finger was broke. Uuughh.....
I also made a few felt dolls. Yesterday I soaked a fabrics into a coffee, hopefully it would turns brown and look old as primitives, but I guess the process was not long enough, so the fabric stays white T_T.....I'm gonna try it again tomorro… Continue

Blank head

Recently I feel like not in the mood for creating..loosing ideas, not in the mood for sculpturing, then I made a bunny stuffed doll using flannel fabric..quite cute I think = p
Yesterday I looked at Erin's website and found a new thing called primitives dolls ( hmmm...= D ) love them....I want to make one if i could..
I like her motto of "make it yourself" rather than running down to a local craft store..it's more satisfying to have my own creation.

My next project

I already made a woman figurine, but i didn't continued it, I got stuck with the hair, hands and foot. But yesterday, my boyfriend bought me Alteco EpoPutty, used to seal leakage but can be use to make a figure, we saw it at the Toy's fair in Jakarta. When I have spare times, I want to continue my work, I want to make a wavy hair for my figurine and also the hand and foot

Hey Paula Mae,
Great hearing from you again!
I am very happy to hear that your friend Omi has got you stimulated to creating once more. I checked out all those little cakes etc....how adorable are they?! Glad you have a friend to work with. It makes things twice as much fun and two heads are better than one when trying to figure out how you are going to execute something. Just keep at things and you will both amaze yourselves and others!

Hi Paula Mae,
How have you been? I see you are still as creative as ever and I like that. Your new friend Omittchi just wrote and I gave him my response concerning costuming. Are you still working in costuming?
Don't get on this site as much as I would like as my life is so very busy these days...day job as a chef, teaching ceramics and my new passion, those Luna Clay Flowers. If only there were more hours in a day and I was 20 or so years younger...I could do so much more. Oh well.
Keep up the good work and don't stop being creative...inspiration is always all around us... just look for it always.
Warm regards,
Ron

Thought I would give you a suggestion in regards to sculpting bodies. I learned how to sculpt figurines by using an anatomy book with people in it, posing in different positions. It really helped me understand how I needed to shape the bodies. Maybe if you got one it would help you like it helped me. Blessings!!

Merry Christmas and a healthy and prosperous new year to you. Sorry I haven't gotten back with you. I was working long hours at work and at home making holiday stuff to sell at my friends shop. I am getting layed off at work tomorrow. So I'll have to go out this week to look for a new job. UGH!!! Oh well..... anyway, when I get some time I'll get that information to you about how to sculpt the hair. LOL.
