Hello Chandini:
You asked me how to make the baskets. I will try to explain it.
First, you have to decide the shape of the basket you are trying to make, and find a bottle or the base you are going to use to build it on.,
Make the strips of cold porcelain using a clay gun.
You start making the basket upside down. First, at the bottom or your base make a flat base like a flat bread, then, put some glue around to start adding the vertical strips for the basket. Make sure they are odd numbers, spread them around as even as possible.
Then, start with the horizontal strip and start weaving the basket around the bottle or the base you are using.
Weave it around and the vertical pieces you should go: one up, one down, one up, one down, until you get the size of the basket you want.
You can look at a real basket and you will see what y mean about building the basket with the cold porcelain. It is the same just different materials.
If for some reason you need to stop working with the basket, cover it with a plastic bag and keep it closed, it will keep the porcelain soft for you to finish your work.
Remove the basket from the base before gets completely dry.
