I've been a little busy the last few weeks trying to figured out how to make a wrist cold porcelain corsage for my daughter and her friend.
It was a new project; for my daughter's friend I did one with pink roses, but like my daughter didn't want roses, she wanted green dendrobium orchids, I had to think out of the box; and the big challenge besides trying to make my flower looks like dendrobiums; it was "build" both corsages over the wrist holder,

Just entered the world of flowermaking and am loving it ! I am still a novice at cold porcelain, nylon flowers and leaves. But after making several flowers varieties how do I display them ?
I was seeing photos and a few questions came to my mind , are all flowers and leaves marked as C P/ nylon really CP / nylon and hand -crafted ?
It appears that sometimes only the flowers are made of CP , nylon etc and the leaves and fillers are store bought . No problem as it makes li

Hello friends,
Is lamasa just a Spanish name for Cold Porcelain ? I found that lamasa recipe excludes water like some c p recipes and rest of the method and ingredients are common. I have heard a lot about lamasa but not much about c p except now.

Last month we went on a short vacation to a hill station and I saw the most amazing flowers which I had never seen before. Back home I found out that they were Fuschias and tried my hand at recreating them in cold porcelain. If I could I would have grown them in my garden, alas , they need a cool climate !

Thank you all VERY VERY much for your lovely comments. Because many people have asked me the same questions I decided to post this mini blog with the answers rather than to write the same things over and over. But 1st of all I have to say that everything I have know I have learned from the internet therefore I hink that the best way to teach you is to give you the links that helped me.
So, the most often repeated question - what material I use for my works.

Saw CP carnations and it was love at first sight. How to make them ? I can make CP roses as I make wax roses anyway. Idea. Why not make wax carnations too !! So I am busy surfing the web for the procedure .
My CP roses are OK but the leaves need work and also new color.
Friends have given a fabulous response to my query about making shiny roses. Yes the natural look is good too. But a topcoat of varnish would act as water-proofing if I make other things later.

Hello friends , I am back with my nearly dried roses but now they are not shiny as before. Does CP lose its sheen after drying or have I failed to get the right proportion ? The work has to painted with varnish I believe . Suggestions please !
